Ph.D., Man-Machine Interaction
Sara’s research at Lots focuses on understanding and describing the design qualities of products and services, as well as design work and methods affecting interaction, product and service design. The objective is to produce research results that illustrate practical design work and to develop our understanding of user experiences, such as private ownership use as opposed to shared services. As such, she is the fly on the wall at Lots and contributes a cross-disciplinary perspective to our work.
Sara’s research background is in the field of mobile services and robotics in daily life applications. She was previously a researcher with the Future Applications Lab at the Mobile Life Center in Stockholm, with the Victoria Institute in Gothenburg and Socio-Digital Systems at Microsoft Research Cambridge. Sara defended her thesis in 2008 and has a grant from the Riksbanken Jubileumsfond (RJ – the Bank of Sweden Tercentenary Foundation) within the FLEXIT programme, a pilot project for joint research between academia and business life.
