How to get more people to choose the bus?

With the transition from chassis to bus and coach manufacturers, VBC experienced a need to refine their identity to bring together all companies worldwide and to make the bus an obvious choice for everyday transportation. They chose LOTS because of our background.
During interviews and workshops with senior management LOTS discussed what distinguishes VBC, defined a global identity that spans all of the company’s business areas and its position in the Volvo brand.
Based on the company’s identity and an analysis of the company’s business and marketing strategies we developed a design strategy for Volvo Buses overall product portfolio. An example of the strategy included specific focus areas for travelers to feel safe during boarding and during the journey. Since the project, Volvo Bus Corporation developed its design consciousness and their own design organization.

We at LOTS are proud that we, along with Volvo, have been involved in making the bus an attractive and environmentally sustainable choice for people all over the world – while the work has been a centralized basis for VBC’s design strategic vision.
