Equal opportunities are not just one of the fundamental democratic rights, but also lead to more innovative thinking that, in turn, entail to new opportunities for developing new businesses, products and services.
Lots has been selected as a pilot partner for the Vinnova “Gender Lab” innovation programme, where, together with Snickers Workwear AB, we are looking at norms and attitudes in the construction industry. The craft professions are considered to be among the least gender-equal occupational categories in Sweden. Furthermore, statistics show that the number of women in this category is decreasing and fewer and fewer women choose upper secondary programmes with construction and crafts specialisations.
This study is a part of a pilot project in which a team of researchers is developing an e-learning tool to support companies and organisations that want to develop innovations from a gender-critical perspective.
The project will be completed and launched during the autumn of 2014.
